There is nothing more rewarding to us than watching smiles unfold after a bite of something delicious. A sweet treat can make somebody’s day and we love being able to facilitate that!

Welcome to our Sugar Studio!

Whisk & Arrow Sugar Studio is an award-winning boutique bakery owned by husband and wife team Nea and Pat Hahn. They have been making Appleton, Wisconsin a little sweeter since 2017. Whisk & Arrow uses high-quality ingredients in our bakery and almost everything is made from scratch in small batches. Almost everything? Yes, almost everything except for our croissant, Danish and puff doughs, which are purchased from a patisserie that uses the finest ingredients and French recipes.

Our recipes are honest. We can tell you every single ingredient - and we can pronounce them all. We want you to know what you are eating and feeding your loved ones. We use a lot of organic products in our recipes and do our best to embrace local produce and exploit what the seasons have to offer us in Wisconsin.

The Whisk

Nea is originally from southern Brazil, but has been in the States for 17 years now. She attended the International Culinary Center, the former French Culinary Institute, for Pastry Arts in California. Baking has always been how she connected with the world. 

One of her earliest memories is of making her own chocolate Easter eggs in Brazil. Yes, Nea was tempering chocolate at 8 years old! Nea’s dream was to create a place where the local community could enjoy the delicious, high-end baked goods they’d expect to find in a major city but in a welcoming setting that encourages conversation and community. Whisk & Arrow is that dream.

Pat, a Wisconsin native, is a UW Stout graduate and besides being our numbers guy/handyman, he’s also a full-time Project Director for CRMeyer, in Oshkosh.

Our team is at the heart of our success. We are a bunch of pastry and coffee lovers who are excellent at what we do: baking and being great people.
